The Vital Role of Oxygen and Our Bodies

Oxygen is vital to the survival of every cell in our body. The average human can survive weeks without food, days without water and only minutes without oxygen. High concentrations of oxygen help trigger the natural healing functions that fight viruses, infections and the bacteria that cause acne cannot live in an oxygen rich environment. Oxygen provides energy to our cells and is essential to cell metabolism and the skins healing process.

Some things we can do to restore oxygen levels in the body are eating plant based foods with dark, leafy greens and avoid animal based or processed foods. Exercise at least 15 min a day to help flush toxins from your lymphatic system. Hydrate with plenty of filtered water which help toxins move through our system and allow cell to get the full benefit of oxygenation. Also, proper breathing from the diaphragm instead of the chest through the nose and out of the mouth, quiet and light helps increase our oxygen levels.  Just a few of the potential benefits of maintaining body oxygenation at a balanced level include: enhanced brain function, stress reduction, increased energy, and a longer and healthier life.
