Summertime Hair Tips!

It’s officially summer! Bring on the beach, sun and fun! Before we get too carried away by the waves don’t forget to take care of those lovely locks.

Summer hair tip 1:

Wet your hair with tap water before entering the ocean or the pool. Your hair is like a sponge, when you swim in salt or chlorinated water your hair will absorb it which can reek havoc on your freshly colored hair. Before for swim, wet your hair with tap water and then put it in a loose bun or pony tail.

Summer hair tip 2:

Condition, condition, condition. Did I say condition? Now is not the time to neglect your deep conditioning routine. With the higher temperatures and more time spent in the sun, your hair needs moisture more than ever. Three great ways to make sure your hair is getting all the moisture it needs:
1. Do an at home weekly deep conditioning treatment, such as Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask.
2. Apply a daily leave in conditioner or serum. We recommend Lanza Noni Fruit Leave-In Conditioner or Moroccanoil Treatment.
3. Receive an in salon moisture treatment with your next visit. Ask your stylist what treatment they would recommend for your hair type.

Summer hair tip 3:

Take a break from the blow-dryer. Try out some new styles that do not require you to use heat tools. If you have any bit of natural wave in your hair now is the time to take advantage of it. Try using Moroccanoil Beach Wave Mousse on damp hair and let it air dry in.
